We believe that the energy transition doesn't have to be complicated. We offer municipalities, grid operators and energy suppliers the necessary decision-making and data basis for forward-looking planning of energy systems.


We're looking for a Werkstudent:in QA/Test Automation to take our automated testing to the next level. While we have around 30 automated tests, many of them need updating and optimization. Your main goal will be to make our tests more reliable and expand our test coverage, focusing on the most critical features.


Aufgaben

  • Update, extend, and maintain our existing automated test suite.

  • Write clear, maintainable, and well-structured test code.

  • Identify and test crucial application features, even beyond defined tasks.

  • Collaborate with developers and product owners to determine critical functionality and potential risk areas.

  • Ensure the test suite remains reliable, maintainable, and well-documented.


Expectations in the First Two Months


First Month:

Stabilization: You will first be responsible for our existing test suite. This includes fixing broken tests and improving their overall stability. Get all existing tests running reliably and robustly.


Familiarization: Become familiar with our product, its key use cases, and our technical stack.


Second Month:

Development: Identify and develop automated tests for 3-5 of the most critical features in our application.


Expected weekly commitment: 10-20 hours


Qualifikation

  • JavaScript proficiency is a must; TypeScript experience preferred.

  • Understanding of the Page-Object-Model pattern / optional

  • Experience writing maintainable and scalable automated tests.

  • Strong communication skills and a proactive working style.

  • Ability to think critically about quality assurance and propose improvements.

  • Comfortable documenting tests and processes when necessary.
