Die derzeitigen Agrar- und Ernährungssysteme sind nicht geeignet, eine ausreichende und gesunde Ernährung für alle Menschen zu jeder Zeit und innerhalb der planetaren Grenzen zu gewährleisten. Das Globalvorhaben "Nachhaltige Agrarsysteme und Agrarpolitik" (GV AgSys) unterstützt kooperierende Länder (Kamerun, Indien, Nigeria, Kenia, Madagaskar, Burkina Faso, Sambia und Togo) dabei, ihre Agrarsysteme zu transformieren und berät dazu, entsprechenden Agrarpolitikreformen einzuführen und umzusetzen. Das Programm fördert den länderübergreifenden Austausch mit interaktiven Veranstaltungsformaten und setzt damit Impulse für globale Agenden zur Transformation der Agrar- und Ernährungssysteme, vorrangig in Afrika.

Dabei Arbeitet Das Globalvorhaben In Fünf Handlungsfeldern

Die Transformative Agrarpolitik fördert politische Reformansätze. Dabei ist es wichtig, dass diese Ansätze bereichsübergreifend angelegt sind und somit die Agrarpolitik mit Themen wie Ernährungssicherung, Klimaschutz und Biodiversitätserhalt verknüpfen.
Die Skalierung erfolgreicher Praktiken unterstützt dabei, erprobte Lösungsansätze und Innovationen zu verstetigen und zu institutionalisieren.
Beiträge der Zivilgesellschaft einbeziehen, indem nichtstaatliche Akteur*innen, vor allem Frauen und Jugendliche, an den Reformagenden beteiligt sind.
Die Harmonisierung von Förderbeiträgen soll die nationalen Finanzierungslandschaften umgestalten und zusätzliche Finanzmittel und Förderbeiträge erschließen, um die Reformagenden zu unterstützen.
Nationale und globale Agenden verknüpfen, um nationale Reformprozesse zu stärken und die Debatte zur Transformation der Agrar- und Ernährungssysteme zu bereichern.
