ABOUT GARBE COMMERCIAL LIVING

GARBE Commercial Living is the specialized platform within GARBE’s “Reside” division focused on the development, repositioning and investment management of commercial living real estate, with a strong emphasis on hospitality-driven asset classes. The company acts as a fully integrated developer, operator and investment partner, covering the entire lifecycle from concept and acquisition through development and asset management, and targets scalable, institutional-grade products such as hotels, serviced apartments, student housing, senior living and co-living. Its strategy is centered on both new-build (greenfield) and conversion (brownfield) projects—particularly the transformation of offices and hotels into modern, multifunctional living concepts—while leveraging GARBE’s broader platform capabilities.

At our Berlin office, we are offering a 3–6 month internship starting as soon as possible.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Land Acquisition & Deal Support

·      Support the sourcing and screening of land and development opportunities across Germany

·      Assist in analysing investment opportunities, including financial feasibility and basic underwriting

·      Prepare location analyses, market overviews and competitor benchmarking

Transaction Execution

·      Support ongoing acquisition processes, including coordination of due diligence workstreams

·      Assist in the preparation of investment memoranda and internal decision materials

·      Help structure and organise deal-related data rooms and documentation

Project & Development Support

·      Support the management of ongoing development projects (e.g. hotel and serviced apartment developments)

·      Assist in tracking project progress, timelines and budgets

·      Contribute to feasibility analyses and concept development

General Support

·      Prepare presentations and materials for internal and external stakeholders

·      Work closely with the Managing Directors and the broader team on day-to-day deal execution

YOUR PROFILE

·      Bachelor’s degree completed or currently in final stages of studies (Business, Real Estate, Economics or similar)

·      Strong interest in real estate development, transactions and investments

·      First experience in real estate, consulting, investment or finance (internship/working student) is a plus

·      Strong analytical skills

·      Solid Excel and PowerPoint skills

·      Proactive, hands-on mindset with a strong willingness to learn

·      Fluent German and good English skills
