YOUR TASKS
In this internship, you will support strategic purchasing activities within Global Commodity Purchasing and gain insights into market intelligence, supplier strategy, and portfolio management in an international electronics environment. The role combines analytical work, operational support, and close collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
Market and portfolio analysis: You support market and environment analyses and contribute to market, supplier, and portfolio evaluations to strengthen the basis for strategic purchasing decisions.
- Preparation of meetings and presentations: By helping prepare supplier meetings, negotiation packages, and management presentations, you ensure that relevant content is structured clearly for internal and external discussions.
- Pricing and sourcing activities: Together with internal stakeholders and suppliers, you drive cross-functional pricing activities and contribute to the identification of sourcing opportunities across the portfolio.
- Purchasing data analysis: Through the analysis of purchasing data, you create transparency on spend, suppliers, regions, and sourcing opportunities and support the development of robust purchasing strategies.
- Risk monitoring and contract support: A further part of the role involves identifying supply, geopolitical, and single-source dependencies within the portfolio, while also supporting contract negotiation, contract preparation, tracking, and follow-up with strategic semiconductor suppliers.
- Data maintenance and reporting: In addition, you maintain data in purchasing systems, supplier records, contract overviews, and reporting files to support reliable processes and high data quality.
DURATION: at least 12 weeks
Your Qualifications
- Enrolled student: During your time at HELLA, you are enrolled at a university and have not yet started or completed your final mandatory academic requirement.
- Field of study: Your studies focus on business administration, industrial engineering, supply chain management, electrical engineering, or a comparable degree program.
- Professional interests: A strong interest in strategic purchasing, supplier management, semiconductors, automotive electronics, or global supply chains is expected.
- Software skills: Confident handling of data as well as good knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint are required.
- Language skills: Good English skills are required, while German language skills are considered an advantage.
- Working style: A structured, proactive, and reliable way of working, combined with an interest in international teamwork and a technical environment, completes your profile.
