Description provided by Elektor International Media
Elektor is a leading global platform for electronics and engineering, providing technical content, practical inspiration, and products to professional engineers and passionate makers. Through our magazines, digital platforms, online store, and international media brands, we also connect electronics companies with their target audiences worldwide.
We are looking for a Student Assistant to support our Editorial and Marketing teams for 18–20 hours per week. You will work on a variety of day-to-day activities and gain hands-on experience across content, marketing, and digital media.
Our main working language is English. We have an office in Aachen, while much of our day-to-day work is done remotely.
What you’ll be doing
- Editorial & Content Support Help prepare, organize, and format articles and other content in our publishing system.
- Research & Coordination Research technical topics and help coordinate articles, authors, and submissions.
- Content & Social Media Prepare and repurpose Elektor content for LinkedIn and other digital channels.
- Campaign & Website Support Assist with marketing campaigns, landing pages, forms, and other digital activities.
- Tracking & Organization Help keep campaign and CRM information up to date and support basic reporting and organizational tasks.
What we’re looking for
(Ideally), you:
- are currently enrolled at a university or university of applied sciences
- have good English skills and a feel for clear communication and content
- work carefully, reliably, and independently
- are comfortable using digital tools and enjoy learning new ones
- are interested in marketing, media, content, and/or e-commerce
- are comfortable working in an international and largely digital environment
- have German or other language skills — an advantage, but not a requirement
An interest in electronics, electrical engineering, embedded systems, or technology in general would be a big plus. Maybe you are studying engineering or another technical subject, or perhaps technology is simply something you are interested in. Either way, you don't need to be an engineer to apply.
What we offer
- An 18–20 hour workweek, Monday to Friday during CET working hours
- Competitive compensation based on your experience
- Flexible working and the possibility to work from home
- Hands-on experience across editorial, content, marketing, and digital media
- An international working environment with experienced colleagues
- Room to contribute your own ideas, learn new skills, and gradually take on more responsibility
Why Elektor?
At Elektor, technology, media, and an international engineering community come together. We create technical content, products, learning opportunities, and industry collaborations that connect engineers, makers, and electronics companies around the world.
As part of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to learn, contribute your own ideas, and gain practical experience in different areas rather than being limited to one narrowly defined student role.
