We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied internship in the area of Retail Consulting - Content and Market Management. We, the “Retail Consulting” department of the BMW Group, support more than 800 BMW and MINI dealers every year to get their processes right, boost their performance and make them ready for the future. Our international team develops consulting programmes and steers the worldwide consulting projects in selected BMW Group markets and their dealerships. Our consulting programmes focus on classical sales topics and overarching areas such as business management, digital marketing, and customer experience as well as strategy and transformation topics like e-mobility, sustainability, or digitalization.

What awaits you?

  • In your internship you support the Content and Market Management team in developing consulting programmes as well as setting up and implementing international consulting projects.
  • You accompany respective work packages within individual projects.
  • You support our team in steering rollouts of consulting projects running in more than 30 countries.
  • Additionally, you support our team in tasks related to realizing another inspiring and innovative market ex-change formats, like our yearly market conference (optional).


What should you bring along?

  • Currently enrolled student (or between bachelor and master) with above-average achievements.
  • Strong analytical skills and quick learning ability.
  • Highly resilient and flexible in dealing with cross-functional teams and group projects.
  • Creative and ready to come up with new and innovative ideas.
  • Willing to tackle new tasks and take on responsibility.
  • Fluent in English. German and further language skills desirable.
  • Advanced in handling of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Working student essentials

Weekly hours

Internships have no 20-hour cap, but a voluntary internship longer than three months generally has to pay at least the German minimum wage. Mandatory internships in your study programme are exempt.

Mandatory internships are largely exempt from social contributions. Voluntary internships are treated like regular employment once they run long enough, so contributions usually apply.
