Your Tasks And Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive literature review on virtual sensing, state estimation, and model-based diagnostics for fuel cell systems.
- Develop and implement models for fuel cell system components relevant to virtual sensing (e.g., degradation, performance).
- Design and evaluate virtual sensor algorithms to infer unmeasured system states and parameters.
- Implement and validate state estimation techniques (e.g., Kalman filters, Extended Kalman Filters, particle filters) for fuel cell systems.
- Utilize simulation environments (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, Python) for model development, algorithm testing, and data analysis.
- Analyze the performance and robustness of developed virtual sensors and state estimators under various operating conditions and fault scenarios.
- Document research findings, methodology, and results in a comprehensive Master's thesis.
- Present progress and results to the Airbus ZEROe team regularly.
Desired Skills And Qualifications
- Enrolled full-time Master's student in the area of Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong academic background in control theory, system identification, estimation theory, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB/Simulink and/or Python.
- Familiarity with fuel cell technologies and their operation principles is a plus.
- Experience with model-based development and simulation tools is desirable.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and solve complex problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, German is a plus.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
