Job Description

As part of a globally operating team of 15+ experienced UX designers you will be involved with different tasks of a UX/UI design intern, ranging from real project support to investigations.

Located at our Waldbronn site near Karlsruhe in the northern Black Forest, the Usability and Design Center (UDC) works internationally with engineers, scientists, marketing, and other experts from different Agilent sites in the US, Europe, Asia and Australia. -- We transform the labs that transform the world. Tasks:

  • Support current software development projects by working within an established design system.
  • Create intuitive navigation, user interactions and consistent UI designs by sketching, wireframing and prototyping (Figma and AI).
  • Contribute to the development & evolution of our design system for software
  • Support of user research & usability evaluations
  • Investigate UI schemes, accessibility and motion for UI perception.
  • Support the evolution of brand visualization & icons
  • Contribute to communicate the UX design to our project teams
  • Support our team to refine & evolve our UX design processes & methods (including AI enhanced prototyping)
  • Be also involved in educating different company stakeholders about UX design by your work

Qualifications

Your profile:

  • Enrolled in University Study in User Interface Design, User Interaction Design, User Experience Design, or similar
  • Good knowledge in UX tools (Figma and AI prototyping) and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge & experience with creating user journeys, visualizing workflows, wireframing, interaction design, UI design & interactive prototypes.
  • Understanding of user research techniques & usability testing
  • Great communication skills
  • Motivated character that is willing to contribute as part of the team
  • Self-organization ability, with the multi-tasking skills
  • Fluence in English (German is a benefit, but no must)
  • Technical affinity

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPUX-F certification, Nielsen Norman UX certificate or similar
  • Interest in Life Sciences and the laboratory processes & environment
  • Familiarity with design systems
