Full-Stack Developer Intern (m/f/d) Robotics Data Collection

The AI Teams at Agile Robots are looking for a Full-Stack Developer Intern (m/f/d) Robotics Data Collection. Join our team in Munich, where you will help keep the software behind our robotics data-collection farm stable. We are seeking a hands-on student or recent graduate who has built and tested a full-stack web application.

Responsibilities

• Farm Operations: Diagnose failures in stations, releases, secrets, and data downloads, apply a safe fix, and document what happened so the next person does not start from zero.
• Bug Fixing: Reproduce issues reported from the farm, trace them through the UI, API, and database, fix the root cause, and verify the fix on a running system.
• Testing: Add unit, API, and UI tests to new and existing features, write a test with every fix that would have caught the issue, and keep the tests reliable inside the regular test suite.
• Automation: Automate the check or the fix itself when the same kind of issue keeps coming back.
• Operational Tooling: Build small features and tools that make daily work easier for operators and engineers.
• Engineering Workflow: Work in small pull requests with clear descriptions and take review from a full-time engineer.

Essential Skills

• Background: Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Debugging: Reproduce a vague report such as “this screen is wrong”, trace it to the cause across frontend, backend, and database, and explain what you found.
• Full-Stack Development: Coursework or personal projects with a React frontend and a Python backend, ideally FastAPI, that talks to a database.
• Testing: Experience writing unit, API, or UI tests that fail only when the behavior they check is broken.
• Written Communication: Write bug tickets, pull request descriptions, and incident notes that stand on their own.

Beneficial Skills

• Deployment Basics: Familiarity with Linux, containers, and reading application logs to find why a deployed service failed.
• Go: Read Go code and make small, well-scoped changes with guidance.
