Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Extending and maintaining business critical applications
  • Help shaping actionable requirements from complex and undefined business problems
  • Foster a culture of experiment-driven innovation within the team
  • Improve developer experience and customer satisfaction by constantly avoiding/reducing tech-debt, automating as much as possible, documenting decisions, improving the quality, and ultimately building software people love to use
  • Work collaboratively with product managers, designers, and software engineers

Depending on your focus, you will work with some of the following technologies:

  • Backend: Ruby On Rails, TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS
  • Web Frontend: React, TypeScript, Next.js, Vercel
  • Mobile: Flutter
  • Cloud: Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, PubSub, CloudSQL, Firestore, BigQuery)
  • Observability: Datadog
  • IaC: Terraform
  • Deployment: GitHub Actions

Your profile

  • Enrolled at a German university for at least two more semesters, studying computer science or a comparable field, and willing to work 20 hours per week
  • Some experience writing maintainable, self-describing, reusable, and testable code with TypeScript and other major back-end or full-stack technologies
  • Basic knowledge of designing and maintaining RESTful APIs
  • An agile and results-oriented mindset with a passion for supporting your team
  • A creative and enthusiastic approach to tackling new challenges, contributing to an ambitious and dynamic company
  • Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English (German is a plus)
  • Residency in Germany

Bonus points for:

  • Energy industry experience
  • Start-up experience

Benefits

  • You are part of an international, dynamic, and highly motivated team of people who have proven to make things happen
  • With your work, you accelerate the "energy transition" and hence have a direct impact on our climate
  • Work with and learn from other super-smart colleagues
  • You will enjoy direct contact with core decision-makers
  • You will enjoy the best chances of entering full-time in one of Europe’s most thriving scaleups
  • You work remotely (Germany-wide), with offices in Hamburg, Berlin or Munich
  • Create a healthy balance alongside your work and enjoy all the benefits of the EGYM Wellpass
