What You’ll Build

The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP’s global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This is more than an internship; it’s the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact.

Position title: SAP Industries & Experience iXp Intern (f/m/d) – Event Showcase Operations Support

Location: Walldorf, Germany

Internship duration: 6 months

  • Scope & Deliverables
    • Support the SIX Event Portfolio Lead and SAP Innovation Experience team in managing and executing a global portfolio of high-impact SAP events and conferences.
    • Assist in the planning, coordination, and tracking of flagship events including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
    • Prepare presentations, status reports, performance summaries, and decision-ready materials for leadership meetings.
    • Contribute to portfolio overviews, prioritization activities, and documentation across multiple parallel event initiatives
  • Business Impact
    • Enable the successful execution of SAP’s most important global conferences where SAP presents innovative demo experiences to customers.
    • Help ensure transparency, alignment, and quality across event initiatives that directly influence customer perception and engagement.
    • Support data-driven decision-making through reporting, analytics, and structured insights on event performance.
  • Team Environment & Collaboration
    • Work closely with the SIX Event Portfolio Lead as part of the SAP Innovation Experience team.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders such as SAP Global Events, Experience Portfolio Leads, SIX Leadership, agencies, partners, and reference customers.
    • Operate in a highly international, fast-paced, and collaborative environment.
  • Learning Opportunities
    • Gain hands-on experience in portfolio management, strategic event planning, stakeholder management, and leadership communication.
    • Learn how large-scale, global SAP events are designed, prioritized, and executed from strategy to delivery.
    • Develop strong skills in structured communication, project coordination, software technology storytelling and performance measurement.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who takes the initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
  • Bachelor or Master student in Business Informatics (preferred), Computer Science, Business Management, Business Administration, or International Management.
  • Core competencies
    • highly organized, resilient, and a strong team player.
    • Experience (academic or practical) in managing projects or workstreams from start to finish.
    • High level of personal responsibility, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • Interest & Mindset
    • Strong interest in software, applications, innovative business processes, data management, and artificial intelligence.
    • Motivation to work in a dynamic, customer-facing, and innovation-driven environment.
  • Technical Skills
    • Essential: MS Power Point (executive-ready presentations & conceptual decks) and MS Excel (tracking, reporting, basic data analysis)
    • Nice to have: Experience with collaboration tools (Mural, MS Teams, SharePoint), basic understanding of project management tools or methodologies, familiarity with SAP solutions or enterprise software environments
  • Language & Location
    • Fluent business English and German (mandatory)
    • Ability to work from Walldorf office a few days per week
