Intern Project Management (m/f/d)

As an Intern (m/f/d) in Project Management, you will support the structured execution and continuous development of our project activities, thereby making a direct contribution to the advancement of state‑of‑the‑art unmanned systems. In this role, you will be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle – from supporting project preparation and planning to internal coordination and building operational and data‑driven foundations for successful project execution.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders from Sales, Finance, Operations, and Engineering and support both day‑to‑day project management activities as well as the standardization, automation, and optimization of processes, tools, and reporting structures. A key aspect of your role is contributing to increased transparency, data quality, and efficiency within the project environment.

Through hands‑on involvement in process design, tool usage, and reporting, you will gain practical insights into how scalable project organizations operate in a technology‑driven growth environment. Your work will have a direct impact on the quality, efficiency, and scalability of our projects and will prepare you for future roles in project coordination, program management, or operational project management.

What is your Day‑to‑Day Mission

Project Execution Support

• You support the project management team in ongoing projects.
• You track tasks, milestones, deadlines, and responsibilities.
• You support cross‑functional coordination to ensure timely and structured project execution.
• You prepare and support project reviews, status meetings, and internal alignment meetings.
  
  
  

Project Planning & Coordination

• You support the structuring of project content across organizational, technical, and commercial dimensions.
• You coordinate and consolidate contributions from Sales, Engineering, Finance, and Operations.
• You ensure completeness, consistency, and traceability of project‑related documentation.
  
  
  

Requirements & Information Structuring

• You structure project requirements, work packages, and dependencies.
• You create and maintain overviews related to requirements, project scope, and responsibilities.
• You support the identification of risks, dependencies, open points, and clarification needs.
• You prepare structured decision‑making materials for internal project alignment.
  
  
  

Process Optimization, Automation & Reporting

• You analyze project processes to identify inefficiencies and automation potential.
• You support the standardization and automation of recurring tasks, templates, and status reports.
• You contribute to the development of KPI tracking, dashboards, and reporting structures to increase transparency.
• You support the use and further development of JIRA and Confluence for workflow tracking, task management, and status updates.
• You create regular and ad‑hoc reports on project activities (e.g. status, utilization, deadlines, risks).
• You derive insights and improvement suggestions to support data‑driven decision‑making.
  
  
  

Tools, Data & Documentation Management

• You maintain structured project and status data in central systems and databases.
• You ensure data consistency, version control, and traceability throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• You maintain and improve templates, documentation standards, and knowledge bases.
• You support clean handovers between project phases and to adjacent teams.
  
  
  

What you bring to the team:

• You are currently studying Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, International Management, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable field of study
• Ideally, you have already gained initial practical experience in project management or in a structured, project‑based working environment
• You have a strong interest in unmanned systems (air, land, sea) and technology‑driven projects
• Your open, communicative, and professional manner facilitates collaboration and makes you a reliable internal point of contact
• You work independently, in a structured and responsible way, and are able to keep track of multiple tasks in parallel
• You communicate confidently in both German and English
• You have at least 3 months available to support us
