Intern PBV Conversions (all genders welcome)

Work on real projects and tasks within our PBV department of the Kia Europe Headquarters in Frankfurt/Main, Germany

>> Starting as soon as possible - Minimum of 6 months (possible prolongation for up to 12 months).

The Requirements

For your internship at Kia Europe you need to be enrolled during the whole internship period in a university within the European Union, preferably Germany. Furthermore, you need a valid visa and an unrestricted permit to work in Germany. We recommend completing a six-month internship with us, as this gives you sufficient time to learn about Kia Europe and familiarize yourself with your topic.

Your Mission

In this role, you will be part of the PBV (Platform Beyond Vehicles) department in Kia Europe, which takes care of LCV (Light Commercial Vehicles) related topics.

You will be supporting specifically the PBV Conversions team in the creation, coordination, and the execution of the PBV Conversions technical development, go-to-market strategy and business development plan.

  • Support tasks related to PBV Conversions business development and strategy, including final customers and key industry players interaction.
  • Gain exposure to technical topics linked to PBV conversions, working closely with engineering teams.
  • Conduct different ad-hoc or benchmarking studies.
  • Analyze competitive environment to support the development of a Pan-European Line-up.
  • Assist in the preparation and updating of product specifications.
  • Support the team in preparing and updating vehicle related documents, e.g. technical specifications.
  • Consolidate market related information and actively share information with European markets.
  • Work together with subsidiaries on PBV business development & conversion related topics to support European strategy.
  • Support in organizing events for commercial vehicle customers and industry players.

Your Talents:

  • You are a Bachelor or Master student in a business or industrial engineering related field.
  • You are knowledgeable of the automotive industry and have interest in product and business development, especially on Light Commercial Vehicles.
  • Previous experience in an automotive-related work environment is a plus.
  • Proactive and cross-functional approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent team player with an open approach to individuals from different nationalities and cultures.
  • You have excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to structure complex topics, summarize discussions, and formulate clear conclusions for internal and external stakeholders.
  • You have an excellent command of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • Possession of a valid driving license for Germany (class B) is a plus.

Wichtiges für Werkstudierende

Was dieses Praktikum im Bereich Operations in Frankfurt für dich bedeutet: die Vergütungsregeln, die Sozialabgaben und worauf internationale Studierende achten sollten.

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Werkstudenten-Regeln

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Versicherung prüfen

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
