Your Role And Responsibilities

We’re looking for curious, motivated students who take initiative, enjoy responsibility, and are eager to make a real impact.

With us, you can expect clearly defined tasks, meaningful ownership, and close collaboration with experienced colleagues.

  • You will support the strategic positioning of IBM Enterprise Servers within the partner ecosystem (including Business Partners, ISVs, as well as cloud and solution integrators) and take ownership of sub-projects, driving them forward in a structured and proactive way.
  • You will also contribute to go-to-market initiatives — from concept to execution — on digital platforms such as the IBM Partner Portal and the Microsoft Azure Marketplace.
  • Your ideas are highly valued, and you will have the opportunity to take full ownership of your topics.
  • With your curiosity and analytical mindset, you will independently research potential partners, relevant use cases, and industry-specific solutions, and present your findings in a clear and structured manner.
  • You will create presentations as well as marketing and enablement materials for internal and external audiences, learning how to communicate complex technological topics in a clear and audience-focused way.
  • In addition, you will support the planning and execution of partner events, webinars, and training sessions, gradually taking on increasing responsibility.

Through close collaboration with teams across Sales, Engineering, Marketing, and Product Management, you will gain valuable insights into cross-functional work within a global technology company.

Your Profile

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program such as Business Informatics, Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or a related field
  • Strong interest in enterprise IT, open-source technologies, cloud solutions, and digital platforms
  • Initial experience in business development, partner management, or technology marketing is a plus
  • Independent, structured, and results-driven way of working
  • Willingness to take ownership and proactively drive topics forward
  • Curiosity and motivation to learn and explore new topics independently
  • Strong communication skills
  • Fluent in German (at least C1 proficiency) and English

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
