Description provided by revel8
We're on a mission to create 10 million human firewalls! At revel8, we redefine cybersecurity training with hyper-realistic simulations that reflect today's evolving attack landscape. Our innovative platform combines AI-driven multi-channel attacks with gamified, real-time learning to build resilience where it matters most: the people.
Your mission
Our team has more than doubled in size since the start of the year, which makes the People & Culture function mission-critical right now. In this internship, you will work directly with our Head of People & Culture Melina. Together you will continue to build the People & Culture function from scratch: From playbooks to tools to small rituals that scale culture. You manage the whole employee lifecycle, hiring the next wave of revels, designing people processes that actually scale, and protecting the culture that got us here.
How Your Day-to-day Will Look Like
- Talent Acquisition: You source candidates, screen applications, run screening calls, coordinate interview loops in Personio, and keep our recruiting pipeline humming across all open roles.
- Employee Experience & Culture: You're a guardian of what makes revel8 feel like revel8. You embody our culture, organize team rituals and events that strengthen team spirit, keep our Munich office a place where people genuinely want to spend their day, and help us protect the culture that got us here as we keep growing fast.
- Core people processes: You design and own the core processes that shape every stage of working at revel8: from onboarding new revels so they hit the ground running, to running performance management cycles, to offboarding.
- People Ops & Automation: You keep our HR backbone running (e.g. contracts, Personio data, policies) and spot where AI and automation can replace manual work.
- Brand & Content: You bring revel8's story to life and position us as an employer of choice, by creating content, running employer branding initiatives and showing up at the events where we can connect with the right talent.
You...
- Are currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree (field is open — what matters is how you work). You prioritize done over perfect, don't wait for a manual to get started, and drive projects to the finish line.
- Are a "no task too small" operator: you understand that building a people function involves everything from running a slick interview process to chasing down a missing signature on a contract. You're as comfortable writing a JD as you are setting up the office for a team event.
- Are a people person with sharp judgment: you read rooms well, communicate with warmth and clarity, and treat every candidate and colleague like they matter - because they do. You're discreet with sensitive info and great at giving honest, kind feedback.
- Are AI-native and tool-fluent: AI tools are part of your daily workflow to move faster and write better. You pair this with solid proficiency in "classic" tools like Notion, Slack, and Google Workspace.
- Are a fluent communicator in English, enabling seamless collaboration within our international team, with candidates, and across the business.
- Our revelutionary Energy: Join a team that's ambitious, kind, and genuinely excited about what we're building. We move fast, we have fun, and we treat each other well..
- Kickstart your career: You'll get exposure across the full employee lifecycle and leave with a 360° understanding of what modern People & Culture actually means. Combined the kind of ownership and impact you only get in an early-stage startup.
- New Munich Office: We thrive on an office-first culture and moved our whole team from Berlin to Munich in February - unlimited coffee, table soccer and good vibes included.
- Your Daily Balance: EGYM Wellpass so you can take care of your body while you're in startup mode.
- Stay with us: Strong performers often continue with revel8 in a working student role or full-time position after the internship. We love growing talent we've already worked with.
Perfect, let's talk!
Just submit your application, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. In case you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Melina from our People & Culture Team. We're looking forward to receiving your application!
About Us
revel8 is building the next generation of cybersecurity awareness for the age of GenAI. We help organizations protect themselves against modern social engineering attacks by turning their employees into an active line of defense.
It's been a fast ride so far: Founded in August 2024 by Tom and Julius, we moved to the Merantix Campus in Berlin and welcomed Robert as our CTO and co-founder shortly after. We landed our first enterprise customer in March 2025, raised our €5.1M seed round in September 2025, and moved the whole team back to Munich in February 2026. Today, we are around 40 revels working side by side in our new office every day.
Early days. Big mission. Come build it with us!
revel8 is an equal opportunity employer. We hire based on what you bring to the role, not on race, religion, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, or gender identity. We are committed to equal opportunity throughout our entire hiring process. To protect your privacy, please leave out any personal information about your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, health, or sexual orientation from your application.
Working student essentials

Working student rulesSocial contributions
Mandatory internships are largely exempt from social contributions. Voluntary internships are treated like regular employment once they run long enough, so contributions usually apply.
