For our Group Economic Analysis Team, we are seeking a motivated
Working Student Economic Analysis
Your role in our team:
The working student/intern will assist ProCredit Holding’s Economic Analysis team by:
- Working with datasets, including macroeconomic, microeconomic data and high-frequency financial data
- Contributing to the development, maintenance, and improvement of the team's data infrastructure and econometric models, including the management tools and dashboards.
- Contributing to the team input into macroeconomic analysis by using data analysis, statistical, and econometric tools to help with empirical and quantitative oriented assessments
- Updating regular internal reports and presentations, liaising with other departments of ProCredit Holding
What we expect:
- Enrolled in a master’s or advanced bachelor’s degree program in economics, econometrics, finance or in a comparable degree program
- First relevant experience working in data management, and econometric analysis (time series, panel data)
- Proven experience with statistical and econometric software packages, such as Python, R, Stata, EViews and/or MATLAB for forecasting model development
- Sound experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and/or Python
- Ability to manage and analyse diverse economic data sources such as macroeconomic, financial market, firm-level, credit, supervisory banking/accounting, high-frequency, panel, and big-data
- Strong analytical skills and affinity for quantitative analysis
- Strong command of MS Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluent written and spoken English – that is our company language across the whole group; German is a plus but not a must
- Interpersonal skills coupled with the ability and determination to communicate in a sincere and open manner, high degree of proactivity, and capability to work independently
- A keen interest in Eastern and Southeastern Europe, where ProCredit predominantly operates
- Ability to work meticulously, both independently and as part of a team
