Working Student – Mechanical / Medical Engineering

Oncobeta is seeking a motivated and organized Working Student to support our technical activities at our Garching office. This position offers the opportunity to gain practical experience in a medical technology environment and contribute directly to the preparation, documentation, and handling of equipment used for treatments and distributor activities.

Your responsibilities

• Manage and organize inventory, including stock tracking and material availability.
• Perform and document incoming goods inspections of devices, measuring equipment and spare parts. 
• Create, edit, update, sort, and maintain technical documentation.
• Prepare equipment and materials for treatments and distributors.
• Assist colleagues with a range of operational and technical tasks.
• Support testing activities, data extraction, and basic data analysis.
• Support shipment preparation, including packaging and coordination.

Your profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Medical Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
• Confident user of the Microsoft Office package, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Advanced written and spoken English skills.
• A structured, organized, and detail-oriented way of working.
• Proactive, reliable, and eager to learn in a hands-on team environment.
• Comfortable supporting both practical operational work and technical documentation tasks.

Nice to have

• Experience with CAD software, 3D printing, and/or Visual Basic.
• Familiarity with medical device quality and regulatory requirements, particularly ISO 13485 and the Medical Device Regulation (MDR).
• Previous experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, or medical technology setting.
