Working Student Ground Robotics (m/f/d)

As a Working Student Ground Robotics, you will support our predevelopment team in turning early-stage ideas into safe and measurable prototypes. You will work on tracked demonstrators and innovative exploration projects.

Together with engineers from Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Embedded Development, and Verification, you will support the preparation of prototypes, tests, and technical demonstrations.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Take ownership of a clearly scoped module or work package within Ground Robotics projects, supported by an experienced engineer
• Clarify requirements and interfaces, develop a concept and compare practical solution options.
• Design a mechanical assembly, an electrical unit or a software module, depending on your interests and strengths.
• Create the required CAD, drawings, wiring documentation, code, configuration or parts list.
• Build and integrate your solution into the prototype together with the project team.
• Plan and perform suitable bench or vehicle tests, evaluate results and improve the design where needed.
• Document your work and present progress and results in technical reviews.

What you bring to the team:

• You are studying mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, robotics, computer science or a comparable subject.
• You enjoy hands-on technical work and are curious about mobile robots and prototypes.
• You have some practical experience from a university project, student team, internship, hobby project or workshop work.
• You bring basic knowledge in at least one area: CAD and mechanics, electronics and wiring, Python/Linux, embedded systems, testing or data

evaluation.

• You work carefully, reliably and document what you have done.
• You ask questions when something is unclear and enjoy learning from others.
• You can communicate in English; German is helpful.
