Intern Electrical Engineering - Converter Control (m/f/d)

Join our Electrical Engineering – Converter Control Development team for a 3–6 month internship. You will gain hands-on experience in the development and validation of control and software solutions for converter systems and work alongside experienced engineers on current development topics.

YOUR TASKS

Depending on your skills, interests and the current projects within the team, your internship may include:

• Support the testing and validation of software for converter control applications
• Contribute to the development and documentation of specifications and software requirements
• Support software development for FPGA-based applications and embedded basic software using C
• Develop, test or enhance control functions and models using MATLAB/Simulink
• Contribute to the development of SCADA screens and user interfaces for monitoring and control applications
• Support the development and improvement of Python-based engineering and automation tools
• Analyze test results, identify potential improvements and support the team in implementing solutions
• Collaborate with colleagues from different engineering disciplines and gain insights into the complete development process, from requirements to implementation and validation

YOUR PROFILE

• You are currently studying electrical engineering, power systems engineering, automation engineering, computer engineering or a comparable field
• You have an interest in power electronics, control engineering and/or embedded software development
• Ideally, you have first experience with one or more of the following: C, Python, MATLAB/Simulink, FPGA development or SCADA systems
• You have good analytical and problem-solving skills and enjoy understanding complex technical systems
• You bring creative thinking and an independent, structured way of working
• You enjoy working as part of a team and have good communication skills
• You are fluent in English
• You are available for a full-time internship of 3–6 months

Important information regarding eligibility

To be eligible for this internship, you must be enrolled as a university student for the entire duration of the internship. Please note that, due to the requirements applicable to our internship program, enrollment at a university in Germany is preferred.

Relocation support and reimbursement of relocation costs are not available for this internship. Candidates are therefore responsible for arranging and financing any necessary relocation themselves.
