Tasks

Dive into dynamic world of airline revenue optimization and discover how data-driven decisions shape commercial success. At Lufthansa Group, you will work closely with experienced experts, gain valuable insights into pricing and market strategies, and strengthen your analytical and strategic skills.

• Gain practical experience with focus on revenue optimization by supporting activities aimed at maximizing revenues while considering willingness to pay, opportunity costs, and displacement costs
• Contribute to the development and definition of pricing and offer strategies, as well as price portfolios for various customer segments, including business travelers, private travelers, corporate customers, tour operators and distribution channels
• Continuously monitor and analyze market developments and revenue trends, deriving actionable insights
• Assist in monitoring and evaluating planned pricing activities
• Participating in close collaboration and knowledge exchange with stakeholders across Lufthansa Group Revenue Management to support data-driven decision-making and commercial strategy development

Requirements

At the time of the internship you are required to be at least in your 3rd semester in economics or comparable field of study like Tourism Management, Aviation Management, etc.

• Enrolled for the entire period of the internship (current certificate of enrollment and a proof of mandatory internship must be enclosed with the application) or the internship between the Bachelor's and Master's degree program (Gap Year)
• Fluent in written and spoken English; German knowledge would be an asset
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Power Point; other statistical software for analysis of data would be a plus
• Interest in working in an analytical, number & data driven context
• High analytical skills, technical understanding of IT systems
• High degree of flexibility, organizational talent, entrepreneurial and conceptual thinking, precise presentation of complex issues
• Excellent presentation skills
