Industrial Design Intern

The Opportunity

zweigrad is a design studio in the heart of Hamburg, focused on "the beauty of understanding". The team are experts in holistic design projects in hardware and software, developing brand-specific design languages for national and international clients across a variety of industries.

The studio designs technical products, services and user interfaces using user-centred design processes, creates design visions and drives innovation, and prioritises accessibility and sustainability. They work in interdisciplinary teams, at eye level.

zweigrad is looking for an Industrial Design Intern to join full time on site for six months, starting 1 March 2027.

You

• Love designing in between emotion and technology
• Are in your fourth semester of studying industrial design, and a mandatory internship is part of your degree program
• Would like to support the team full time on site for six months
• Use tools such as Rhino, SolidWorks, KeyShot and Adobe CS, and are good at drawing on paper and digitally
• Use AI tools in your workflow
• Want to apply your design ideas and learn new methods
• Enjoy designing and have innovative ideas
• Want to learn in projects and gain design expertise
• Enjoy handcrafting and realising your ideas
• Have the courage to try out new things and develop yourself further
