Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Shape the future: You create, define, and document software and hardware benchmarking procedures to evaluate software performance, control-loop timing, and real-time behavior
- Experience research: You support the evaluation and benchmarking of MOTIX™ MCU platforms for motor control applications
- Broaden your horizons: You analyze motor control software, including FOC libraries, BLDC/PMSM support, and sensorless control usability
- Holistic overview: You evaluate the MOTIX™ MCU ecosystem, including development tools, documentation, training material, example projects, and development workflows
- Strength in Numbers: You compare benchmark results across selected Infineon platforms and identify strengths, gaps, and improvement opportunities
- Stay up to date: You investigate relevant performance aspects such as CPU benchmarks, peripheral usage, FOC execution time, thermal behavior, and EMC-related documentation
- Convince others with your words: You compile benchmarking results into structured technical reports and present key findings to engineering stakeholders
Your profile
Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed
- Study Field: You are currently studying Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
- Skills: You have basic knowledge of microcontrollers and embedded systems and programming experience in embedded C or C++
- Interests: You are interested in motor control topics such as BLDC, PMSM, PWM, ADC, FOC, and real-time control systems
- (Work) experience: You are familiar with development boards, debugging tools, IDEs, and embedded development workflows
- Work Style: You enjoy hands-on evaluation, benchmarking, data analysis, and creating clear technical documentation while working in a structured, independent, and reliable manne
- Language Skills: You communicate confidently in English, both written and spoken

Important information:
- Working part-time: The focus is on studies. That’s why working as a student employee during lecture period is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
- Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome: To work as a student employee with us, you must be enrolled at a university and not have completed all of your exams or modules for your degree programme. You must not be in a semester of leave. We look forward to welcoming you to our team for at least 6 months.
- You should live close to the site: For good collaboration, it is important to us that you can come to the office regularly to integrate to the team.

Dank des Werkstudentenprivilegs zahlst du keine Beiträge zur Kranken-, Pflege- und Arbeitslosenversicherung — nur die Rentenversicherung greift. Dir bleibt mehr netto als in einem regulären Job.
Versicherung prüfenInternationale Studierende
Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
