Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

Join our Application Engineering team and contribute to developing innovative solutions for automotive applications, especially in the field of electric drives (xEV). In this position, you will gain hands-on experience working with embedded systems, analog/mixed-signal technologies, and real customer use cases.

  • Focus on the future: Support development activities for xEV applications, including electric drives and power electronics systems
  • Be hands-on: Assist in evaluating system behavior and testing application setups, working with embedded systems and hardware platforms
  • Take responsibility: Support the team in analyzing and solving customer-related technical issues and contribute to implementing practical solutions
  • Reliable work: Document findings, support debugging activities, and contribute to structured reporting of results within the team

Your Profile

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

You are a technically curious and motivated student interested in power electronics, embedded systems, and automotive technologies.

  • Study Field: Currently studying Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Experience: Initial experience with microcontrollers and embedded software development, ideally including Aurix or Traveo architectures
  • Skills: Basic knowledge of analog and mixed-signal electronics as well as embedded programming concepts. Familiarity with tools and technologies such as C/C++, Python, MATLAB/Simulink, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, or microcontroller development environments (e.g., ARM-based platforms, Arduino, or similar) is an advantage
  • Interests: Interest in model-based design, neural network fundamentals, and automotive xEV applications
  • Way of Working: Analytical, structured, and proactive, with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Personality: Curious, communicative, and motivated to learn and collaborate within a multidisciplinary engineering team
  • Language Skills: Good English skills, both written and spoken; German is a plus

Important information:

  • Working part-time: The focus is on studies. That’s why working as a student employee during lecture period is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
  • Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome: To work as a student employee with us, you must be enrolled at a university and not have completed all of your exams or modules for your degree program. You must not be in a semester of leave. We look forward to welcoming you to our team for at least 6 months.
  • You should live close to the site: For good collaboration, it is important to us that you can come to the office regularly to integrate to the team.
