Your Role And Responsibilities
Your Role
As a member of our international development team, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and enhancement of cutting-edge Data Platform and Agentic AI capabilities within IBM's enterprise software portfolio. Working closely with software engineers, architects, product managers, and AI specialists, you will gain hands-on experience across the entire software development lifecycle while helping deliver innovative solutions to some of the world's largest enterprises.
What You Will Do
You may have the opportunity to:
- Design, develop, and implement IBM software solutions, covering AI Agents, Data Platforms, Observability and Z Software by leveraging IBM technologies.
- Explore and evaluate emerging AI trends and identify opportunities to integrate them into existing products.
- Define and prioritize innovative AI use cases aligned with business and customer needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop and extend software components using modern programming languages, frameworks, and cloud technologies.
- Optimize and enhance existing code bases to improve performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Test, validate, and refine AI-powered solutions to ensure high quality and reliability.
- Automate development and testing processes to improve engineering efficiency.
- Research the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Agentic AI.
- Prepare and present findings, recommendations, and progress updates to stakeholders.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing activities and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field
- Strong interest in AI, software development, cloud technologies, and enterprise software including relational databases
- Programming experience in one or more modern languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
- Good communication skills in English. German language skills are a plus
