Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the Group Taxation team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a temporary, part-time basis (roughly 15 -19 HPW) for 24 months, commencing 01.12.2026 as a Working Student National and International Tax Economics. In our team, you will gain valuable insights into the tax function of a globally operating reinsurance company. You will actively contribute to national and international tax matters as well as transfer pricing topics, support our reporting processes and gain exposure to the diverse responsibilities of a modern tax department.

You can look forward to

  • Support reporting and controlling activities in an international tax environment, as well as the preparation of transfer pricing documentation
  • Analyse international taxes and tax-related matters
  • Assist with the collection and preparation of data for tax reporting obligations, for example VAT and Insurance Premium Tax
  • Prepare and maintain tax documentation and reports
  • Create impactful PowerPoint presentations and management materials
  • Contribute to international projects and collaborate with local branches and subsidiaries
  • Help enhance our SharePoint environment, support process automation initiatives and contribute to digitalisation projects

You come equipped with

  • Currently enrolled in an advanced degree programme in Economics, Business Administration, Law or a comparable field, ideally with a focus on Taxation and Finance
  • Initial practical experience in a tax or finance environment through internships or working student positions, with knowledge of tax law being advantageous
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
  • High level of IT affinity combined with a strong interest in working with digital tools and AI applications
  • Proficient user skills in German and English
  • A structured, conscientious and reliable approach to work, combined with strong analytical skills
  • Enjoyment of international collaboration, open communication and working cooperatively with others
