We are looking for a Working Student (m/f/d) to support a strategic tracking hardware product development program. You will be based primarily at our G+D IoT Solutions site in Unterschleißheim, supporting the project lead with coordination, documentation, stakeholder tracking, Quality gates milestone preparation, and cross-functional follow-up across a complex, multi-workstream tracking hardware development program — helping keep the project transparent, structured, and on track.
Your tasks:
- Maintaining a central source of truth: project documentation, meeting notes, decisions, and action-item tracking in Confluence and Jira
- Supporting project quality gates preparation: tracking project deliverable status, evidence links, and gate readiness per milestone
- Maintaining the RAID log: risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and decisions — with owner, status, and due dates
- Preparing presentations, status updates, and board briefings for the Project Manager and steering audiences
- Tracking cross-functional actions across engineering, certifications, production, quality, and procurement streams
- Following up on open actions and flagging potential delays to the Project Manager early
- Supporting coordination with internal and external partners
- Exploring opportunities to use AI tools and process automation to improve efficiency and documentation quality
Your qualifications:
- Enrolled student (m/f/d), ideally at Master's level, in Industrial Engineering (Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen), or a related field
- Minimum 12 months remaining enrollment
- Strong skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and ideally Jira / Confluence / SharePoint
- Basic understanding of hardware product development — ability to follow technical discussions on topics such as ATEX certification, BOM, testing, production processes, and supplier coordination
- Familiarity with project management concepts (PRINCE2, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)/Quality Gate (QG) milestone logic is a strong plus)
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a structured, reliable, proactive working style
- Strong stakeholder-facing communication skills; excellent English and good German (written and spoken)
- Interest in product certification, industrialization, hardware development, or AI-based tools is a plus
Your benefits:
- A dynamic and international work environment in a leading technology company
- Flexible working hours, based primarily on-site at our IoT Solutions site in Unterschleißheim, with some remote flexibility
- Direct involvement in a complex, cross-functional hardware development program with ATEX certification, production industrialization, and multi-partner coordination
- Attractive compensation and networking opportunities with other working students
- Possibility of future employment after graduation
