EBX is building the European infrastructure for decentralized energy assets – the foundation batteries, wind, and solar run on to participate in grid balancing and wholesale markets. As a prequalified Balancing Service Provider (BSP), we take flexible assets to market – end to end, from on-site hardware integration and TSO prequalification through sub-second dispatch across FCR, aFRR, and wholesale, 24/7 market operations, and settlement.

We work with some of the largest BESS projects in Europe, are backed by leading energy and technology investors, and are scaling fast. As our Founder's Associate Intern, you work directly with the founding and management team across the topics that keep a fast-growing company running – from marketing and communications to people and finance.

Your Responsibilities

• Drive strategic initiatives: work closely with the founding team to develop and execute initiatives that drive sustainable business growth.
• Shape our brand and communications: drive our internal and external communications, prepare our presence at trade fairs and industry events, and evolve our brand – including the rebranding of documents, templates, and materials.
• Strengthen our People processes: support recruiting and onboarding and help develop the processes and tools that keep our team running smoothly.
• Keep our finances on track: support financial planning, reporting, and day-to-day finance processes in coordination.
• Scale our ways of working: own the rollout of the systems that make us fast and turn our ways of working into a competitive advantage as we grow.
• Accelerate business development: support sales activities - from prospect research and lead qualification to preparing commercial materials.
• Tackle cross-functional projects: contribute to strategic projects that shape how we scale EBX across Europe’s evolving energy landscape.

Your Profile

Mandatory Requirements

• You have already completed a Bachelor's and/or are currently pursuing a Master's degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field at a top university.
• You have experience in a fast-paced environment, such as a startup, consulting, venture building, or a high-growth company.
• You have a strong analytical mindset and can quickly grasp complex concepts and market dynamics, allowing you to make data-driven decisions across commercial, operational, and strategic topics.
• You work independently and reliably, taking full ownership of your responsibilities while proactively driving initiatives forward.
• You possess excellent communication skills and thrive in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment where collaboration is key.
• You set high standards for your work, approaching tasks with a structured, problem-solving mindset and a strong sense of accountability.

Skills to Set You Apart

• Prior experience in consulting, venture building, startup operations, or a Founder's Associate / Chief of Staff-type role.
• You excel working in an entrepreneurial environment where building processes, relationships, and value go hand in hand.
• Familiarity with the energy sector, B2B SaaS, or other regulated industries is a plus.

This role may not be a fit for you if…

• You prefer routine over dynamic work environments.
• You are uncomfortable working across many different topics – from marketing and people to finance and sales – in a fast-moving setting.
• You'd rather specialize in one specific function than work across many different topics alongside the founding team.
• You are not interested in the energy landscape.
