Working Student (m/f/d) Development & Production Support

Join ZeroPhase as a Working Student in Development & Production Support and get hands-on with the hardware behind our resilient data links. You will work alongside our engineering and production team in Dortmund, preparing, assembling, and testing components and systems, and helping keep our lab running smoothly. This is a hands-on role: you will spend most of your time in the lab, not behind a desk, and gain real insight into how defence technology is built and brought into production.

What you’ll do

Testing & assembly

  • Carry out tests according to defined test plans and document the results
  • Set up, prepare, and inspect technical components and systems following instructions

Lab & operations

  • Support the engineering and production team with practical and manual tasks, such as assembly, wiring, and soldering
  • Assist with technical tasks in day-to-day operations
  • Handle orders and maintain our internal inventory tool

What we’re looking for

  • Currently enrolled in electrical engineering or a related technical degree program.
  • Strong manual dexterity and a genuine enjoyment of hands-on work.
  • First practical soldering experience, e.g. from your studies, projects, or as a hobby.
  • Affinity for electronics, hardware, and software.
  • Careful, independent, and reliable way of working.
  • Strong technical interest and eagerness to learn

What we offer

  • Varied hands-on tasks across development and production
  • Close collaboration with our engineers and fellow working students
  • A workplace right next to TU Dortmund
  • Real insight into how technical products are developed and produced
  • Flexible working hours that fit around your studies
