Your Role

With us, you have the opportunity to perfectly combine your studies with practical experience while actively contributing to exciting projects. This allows you to gain valuable skills, expand your network, and grow both professionally and personally.

  • Actively support all areas of product and workflow management in the business field of refractive laser technology.

  • Work closely with the respective product managers on innovation and product development projects for our hardware and software products and collaborate with the R&D interfaces.

  • Learn methods of usability engineering for medical devices and apply them in depth to develop user-friendly products.

  • Participate in user research activities for our products, e.g., while conducting interviews, on-site customer meetings, or international advisory panels, and then evaluate the associated data.

  • Present your work and research results to the team in a concise and convincing format.

  • Assist in the creation of business and marketing plans, in particular in the creation and revision of presentations, graphics and texts.

  • Conduct competitive research independently and prepare the results.

  • Assist in the creation of sales information about our products.

  • Provide administrative support to the team, e.g., preparing workshops, assisting with contract management with customers, etc.

  • Work independently in a dynamic, open, and supportive team.

Your Profile

  • You are studying economics, communication science, psychology, social sciences, ophthalmology/optometry, medical technology, or engineering, and have a strong academic record.

  • Strong customer focus, but also an interest in medical technology and complex products and solutions.

  • Very good written and spoken English and German skills.

  • Strong analytical skills for processing complex content and context.

  • High degree of initiative, motivation, and enjoyment of working in a team.

  • Strong communication skills, good time management, and initial experience in project management.

  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, PPT, Excel), initial experience with qualitative and quantitative tools for data analysis is an advantage (e.g., Condense, MAXQDA).

  • Willingness to work full-time for 6 months.

Wichtiges für Werkstudierende

Was dieses Praktikum im Bereich Tech in Jena für dich bedeutet: die Vergütungsregeln, die Sozialabgaben und worauf internationale Studierende achten sollten.

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Werkstudenten-Regeln

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Versicherung prüfen

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
