The Opportunity
Review an existing React-based application to identify usability, accessibility, and visual design improvements. Deliver a prioritized plan with wireframes, interaction designs, and component-level guidance to enhance user experience and consistency across the app.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Conduct a UX analysis of the current React application, analyzing user flows and evaluate information architecture, navigation, and content hierarchy
- Perform UI review, assessing visual language, typography, color system, spacing, and component usage
- Collaborate with product and engineering, translating findings into actionable design improvements aligned with the product goals
- Partner with frontend developers to ensure feasible, performant implementations
- Create deliverables, i.e.
- Wireframes, low/high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes
- Prioritized backlog of design improvements with rationale
- Updated component design specs and guidelines for the React app
Who Are We Looking For

- Studying UX Design, HCI, UI Design, or related field; strong portfolio demonstrating UX/UI work, preferably with React or web apps
- Proficiency with design tools (i.e. Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and familiarity with design systems
- Beneficial: Understanding of React component architecture and frontend development constraints
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to explain design decisions clearly to non-design teammates

Wichtiges für Werkstudierende

Wochenstunden
Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.
Werkstudenten-RegelnSozialabgaben
Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.
Versicherung prüfenInternationale Studierende
Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
