Your role

Are you interested in working in finance and have an affinity for data and numbers, but not sure where to start? Do you want to work for a firm with a truly global footprint?

Do you know how to face challenges and provide support so that things run smoothly? Do you have affinity for data and numbers?

Do you want to work in Finance within Banking?

We are looking for someone like that to help us:

  • support daily run the bank activities as well as initiatives and projects within Finance
  • coordinate strategic and operational tasks within Finance
  • prepare daily/ weekly/ monthly/ quarterly/ yearly Finance reports
  • investigate, analyze and improve process set-ups
  • cooperate with internal stakeholders across all business divisions and functions

Internship

Our 6 month internship is an ideal way to gain the work experience you’ll need to launch your career. It’s also an opportunity to work with and learn from some of our sharp people in finance.

From the start of the program, you’ll be right at the heart of the business, taking part in the day-to-day operations. You’ll not only learn about the business of finance from top to bottom, you’ll also experience our unique workplace culture.

Start date: October 2026

Your team

You’ll be working in the Finance team in Frankfurt. We are a Finance function covering Wealth Management and Investment Banking business for UBS Europe SE.

You will gain insights into the day-to-day business, helping to prepare regulatory reports. Your Internship will include various training modules and networking possibilities.

Your expertise

You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree and have already gained initial experience in finance.

In Particular, You Have

  • excellent analytical, problem solving and stakeholder management skills
  • conceptual and organizational skills
  • ability to work independently, and to assume responsibility, hands-on mentality
  • pro-active and focused team player in a dynamic environment
  • very good communication skills, verbal and written in English, German
  • experience with Business Intelligence Tools
  • advanced Microsoft Office applications skills – MS Excel & MS PowerPoint are a must

Wichtiges für Werkstudierende

Was dieses Praktikum im Bereich Finance in Frankfurt für dich bedeutet: die Vergütungsregeln, die Sozialabgaben und worauf internationale Studierende achten sollten.

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Werkstudenten-Regeln

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Versicherung prüfen

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
