Working Student (m/f/x) Business Intelligence (BI)

Approximately 24.000 employees in 22 countries dedicate their efforts in laboratory diagnostics to human medicine.

The BI Intern supports the Group BI team in delivering data-driven insights through reporting, analytics, and data support activities. The role provides hands-on exposure to enterprise-scale BI operations, including Power BI development, data pipelines, and stakeholder support across multiple regions.

The intern will contribute to improving data quality, reporting efficiency, and documentation while learning best practices in BI development, governance, and operations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and enhancement of Power BI reports and dashboards
• Perform data validation and testing before release of reports
• Support monitoring of data refreshes, pipelines, and datasets
• Assist in identifying and resolving data inconsistencies or refresh issues
• Document data flows and transformations
• Assist in handling BI support tickets (incident tracking and follow-ups)
• Help maintain SLAs through timely updates and coordination
• Participate in BI team meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions
• Support requirements gathering and documentation
• Collaborate with global BI teams across regions

Qualifications:

Skills & Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in:
• Computer Science
• Data Analytics / Information Systems
• Engineering or related field

Technical Skills (Basic to Intermediate)

• Familiarity with Power BI (preferred)
• Basic knowledge of SQL and data warehouse concepts
• Experience with Excel for data analysis
• Understanding of data visualization principles

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Attention to detail and data accuracy
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
