Summary

Spheres is actively seeking an enthusiastic, ambitious and versatile working student to contribute to the running and improvement of the core workflows of our AI-enabled Digital Family Office. The role combines hands-on work with investment data, product operations, and automation, building a strong understanding of how scalable, AI-first investment services are designed and operated in private markets. You will contribute to Spheres’ mission to reshape the European investment landscape and dive deeper into product operations and financial analysis.

About Spheres (spheres.io)

Spheres is a European investment office backed by leading family entrepreneurs, founders and investors. We offer superior returns through hybrid private-market strategies and an AI-enabled  Digital Family Office that makes managing their wealth seamless for our clients.

Within our Digital Family Office division, we are providing wealth services to help our clients manage their portfolios, ranging from tracking investment performances, planning future investments, preparing account & tax, and more. For all of the services we use AI automation to turn a former manual work domain into a scalable digital product.

About the Role

As a Working Student – Product Operations & Data Quality, you will join our Product team and work closely with our Manager Financial Analysis. In this role, you will be part of the team shaping how our Digital Family Office runs behind the scenes, delivering a reliable, high-quality experience to our investors.

You will be involved in running, improving, and scaling key product workflows as our Digital Family Office evolves. You will work with real investment data, collaborate across teams, and help turn complex, manual processes into smart, digital solutions.

As Spheres’ product and service offering continues to expand, the role is designed to evolve alongside it. With a solid understanding of the venture capital ecosystem, you can quickly grasp fund structures, investor operations, and reporting logic and gradually take on broader responsibilities over time.

Responsibilities

  • Support investor onboarding processes for our product in close collaboration with Product and Operations teams
  • Communicate with external stakeholders to map fund structures and ensure a smooth, scalable onboarding experience
  • Review and validate large, complex datasets using AI-based tools, converting unstructured client data into accurate, balanced, and investor-ready reporting
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of AI-powered workflows, including prompt refinement and process optimization
  • Identify and flag inconsistencies, missing documentation, and data quality issues, contributing to continuous process improvement
  • Support ad hoc analyses and operational initiatives as needed

You will work within structured workflows, not just to follow them, but to improve how they scale, automate, and deliver reliable results when details matter most.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Currently studying at a top university in accounting, economics, finance, or business, with a solid foundation in financial and accounting principles
  • Prior experience or a demonstrated understanding of private market fundamentals is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, comfortable working through complex and unstructured investment data
  • Detail-oriented and structured, with the confidence to question data, flag inconsistencies, and actively improve existing processes
  • Tech-curious and automation-minded, with an interest in using AI to improve and scale operational workflows
  • Inquisitive and adaptable, motivated to learn and take on new topics as the product and service offering evolves
  • Effective collaborator, comfortable working across teams and with external stakeholders
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German is a plus

What’s in it for you?

  • Opportunity to build a career in a business that is growing fast and has huge ambitions
  • Work in a team big and experienced enough to learn and develop (our founders come from top 1% investment firms and have founded businesses valued at >$3bn) but lean enough to make a real impact
  • Flexible working policy
  • Competitive remuneration

Location

Office-based in Berlin-Schöneberg, with a planned transition to a hybrid setup over time.
