Product Manager Intern (m/f/d) - Boston (US) / Stuttgart (DE)

Who We Are:

We are a rapidly growing embodied AI company revolutionizing physical labor. Leveraging cutting-edge robotics and advanced artificial intelligence, we develop transformative technologies that redefine how work is done across warehouses and fulfillment operations worldwide. Our products represent the frontier of what intelligent, dexterous automation can do — and we are only getting started.

Overview:

We are seeking a Product Manager Intern to support the product management team across the product lifecycle — from concept and roadmap development to field deployment across 50+ production sites. This is a high-learning, cross-functional role at the intersection of AI, robotics hardware, and industrial operations. Working alongside experienced product leaders, you will help bridge communication between our AI/R&D team, software & hardware engineering, solutions architects, and customers — assisting in translating real-world operational complexity into scalable product requirements.

Your Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Roadmap Support

  • Assist in maintaining and updating the product roadmap across hardware, software, AI, and field reliability
  • Support priority alignment — monthly to annual — in accordance with commercial goals and technical constraints

AI & Technical Ownership

  • Collaborate with the R&D team to help refine training data strategies, model evaluation criteria, and deployment thresholds
  • Help collect and analyze field failure data to feed back into Cortex training models

Customer & Field Collaboration

  • Spend time at production sites; turn operator observations and edge cases into structured requirements
  • Assist in drafting capability specs, performance SLAs, and integration requirements for customer-facing delivery

Cross-functional Execution

  • Support backlog management; help prioritize items by impact, frequency, & strategic fit
  • Coordinate with engineering leads to track task completion, identify dependencies, and maintain momentum
  • Track KPIs: uptime, pick success rate, intervention rate, time-to-value
  • Assist in creating product collateral and supporting material for commercial and pre-sales technical discussions

Education & Experience

Education & Experience

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
  • Strong interest in robotics and AI
  • Ability to learn quickly and contribute to complex technical projects

Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with robot software stacks (ROS2, Zenoh, motion planning, control, perception pipelines)
  • Can engage credibly with AI/ML teams on model evaluation and deployment criteria
  • Understands hardware-software co-design tradeoffs and their downstream software impact

Product Skills

  • Helps gather field feedback and engineering constraints to support clear requirement drafting
  • Assists in writing and updating PRDs and technical briefs for engineering teams
  • Basic awareness of EU Machinery Regulation, ISO 10218/15066, and AI Act obligations
  • Supports commercial enablement by creating product collateral and documentation

Soft Skills

  • Proactive and eager to learn; takes initiative to support project progress
  • Strong communicator capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
  • Identifies potential risks early and works with senior team members to explore solutions

Nice to Have

  • Warehouse automation, AMR, or logistics tech background
  • Startup experience where scope was undefined
  • WMS integration or fleet management exposure

What we offer:

  • Wellpass (gym membership)
  • Free meals at the workplace
  • Flexible working hours and the option to work from home when needed
  • A defining role shaping one of the most technically ambitious robotics products
  • Competitive compensation and excellent career development opportunities
