About The Team

Our international and agile team is searching for a motivated person to work as a project management intern (m/f/d) in the Institutional Projects Team, part of the Program Management Department. In the Institutional Projects Team, we work with ESA and other partners on externally funded projects. We support the definition, study, and planning for the development of future technologies, systems, engines, and vehicles. You enjoy working in a dedicated, dynamic and international environment that aims for high-performance engineering solutions in aerospace technology? Your Tasks

  • Support in managing RFA’s institutional projects funded by external stakeholders (e.g. ESA, European Commission, governmental institutions, etc) on-time, on-quality and on-budget
  • Support in Planning, scheduling and monitoring the milestones, deliverables, and budgets for the funded projects
  • Support the technical writing and delivering project deliverables (e.g. design files, test plans and reports, presentations)
  • Work and communicate effectively between the different internal teams and partners
  • Support in Coordinating with other departments to generate and provide input to projects’ deliverables
  • Support Business Development and contribute to proposal writing for funded projects
  • Support the technical work of the funded projects, including the creation of development roadmaps for future vehicles and technologies, mission and technical requirements, design studies and trade-offs, creation of system architectures, preliminary concepts, etc.

Your Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Aerospace or Space Engineering or similar
  • Prior work experience in project management, in the space industry is a plus
  • Knowledge of European funding programs and proposal processes (FLPP, Boost!, ELC etc.) is a BIG plus
  • You bring technical affinity and you are an enthusiast about New Space
  • Strong writing and formatting skills with good command of Microsoft Office
  • Business-fluent English, both spoken and written (all day-to-day activities are conducted in English). German fluency is a plus
  • Strong time management, a team-player attitude, and emotional intelligence
  • Independent, proactive, and structured approach to work
  • Cost and risk awareness, along with strong business acumen, complete your profile

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
