ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Compliance Operations Intern, you support our KYB, KYC, and CDD casework across the Compliance Operations (CoOps) department, gaining hands-on exposure to how a licensed EMI runs first-line-of-defense compliance day to day.

You work alongside analysts and team leads on live onboarding and due diligence cases, not shadowing from the sidelines, but doing real casework under supervision, with your work reviewed and signed off as part of our four-eyes process. You'll get exposure across the three CoOps teams and a practical grounding in how KYB/KYC/CDD operations run inside a regulated fintech.

This is a fixed-term internship intended to give you meaningful case experience and, depending on performance and business need, a possible path into a permanent Analyst role.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Onboarding & Case Support

  • Support onboarding case preparation: document collection and review, verification of legal representatives and beneficial owners using commercial registers and corporate structure documentation
  • Assist with risk assessments under supervision, applying internal policies to draft recommendations for analyst/team lead sign-off
  • Help work through corporate ownership structures, including straightforward multi-layered holding structures, under guidance from a reviewer

Quality & Documentation

  • Maintain clear, structured, audit-ready documentation across onboarding and compliance activities
  • Support quality checks on existing case files, flagging gaps or inconsistencies for analyst review
  • Prepare customer data sets as part of the account opening process

Process & Learning

  • Get hands-on with our compliance tooling and contribute to testing/feedback as new tools roll out
  • Support process documentation and light process-improvement work alongside the team
  • Take on ad hoc project work: process mapping, ticket triage, and cross-functional support with Credit Risk, Product, Legal, and Compliance

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Genuine interest in AML/CTF, KYB/KYC, or regulatory compliance — no prior professional compliance experience required
  • High attention to detail and a strong quality mindset; comfortable with structured, documentation-heavy casework
  • Analytical and structured thinking, with the ability to quickly pick up new tools, systems, and regulatory concepts
  • Proactive and collaborative working style; comfortable asking questions and taking ownership of assigned tasks
  • Fluent English, written and spoken

WHAT WE OFFER

  • The opportunity to gain in-depth insight into operational HR work within a growing team with real responsibility
  • Flat hierarchies and transparent communication in a relaxed, professional atmosphere
  • The chance to develop your talent within a dynamic team with ambitious goals
  • Monthly mobility benefit
  • Wellhub membership
  • Company card with a monthly allowance for lunches, coffee, etc. with co-workers

Pliant is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities and abilities, and are committed to an inclusive hiring process. If you need any accommodations during the interview process, please let us know.
