Who we are
We are an early-stage biotech company on a mission to unlock the potential of fermentation to revolutionise the production of protein. Using our breakthrough technology, we grow mycelium in repurposed bioreactors and process it into whole-cut meat analogues for food manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice operators.
Our team is united by a shared passion for our mission, combining scientific expertise with sharp business thinking to create a fast-paced and collaborative culture! We are backed by some of Europe’s leading FoodTech and ClimateTech VC investors and are based in Leipzig and Berlin.
The role
You will work directly with our CEO on the financial backbone of our fast-growing business. From day-to-day bookkeeping to building financial models and tracking KPIs, you'll get broad exposure across finance and help shape how we report to our investors. The role offers hands-on experience in early-stage company finance and a unique opportunity to contribute as we scale operations and prepare for our commercial launch. Expected workload is 4–12 hours per week, designed to fit around your studies.

- Build and maintain KPI dashboards to track business performance
- Support our tax advisors/accountants to ensure smooth and accurate quarterly and annual reporting
- Conduct financial analyses to identify trends and surface insights that drive decisions
- Assist in preparing investor reports and materials for stakeholder conversations
- Take ownership of strategic finance projects as we gear up for commercial launch
Required skills and experience:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program, ideally with a focus on Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets
- Basic accounting knowledge; experience with spend management or accounting software (e.g. Spendesk, DATEV) is a plus
- Previous internship or working student experience, ideally within Finance
- Good communication skills in English and German
- Attention to detail
- Structured and independent working style
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage environment

For your application, please submit the following:
- CV (max. 2 pages, without photo, age, or marital status)
