Intern Wind Turbine Cooling Simulations

During an internship period of 3-6 months, you will develop and optimize advanced cooling system simulations for wind turbines. With dynamic models of existing cooling architectures in Dymola/Modelica, investigations on the overall thermal system performance under various conditions are to be performed and evaluated. YOUR TASKS

• Simulations of cooling systems with Dymola/Modelica
• Model validation using big sets of field data
• Identification of optimization potentials based on simulations
• Documentation and presentation of project results

YOUR PROFILE

• Engineering student (m/f/d), preferably in the field of mechanical engineering, physics or similar
• Good analytical skills
• Interested in heat transfer and flow simulations
• Creative thinking and autonomous way of working
• Experience with Dymola/Modelica or similar system simulation software would be valuable
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Fluent in German (speaking and writing), Fluent in English

Important information regarding eligibility

To be eligible for this internship, you must be enrolled as a university student for the entire duration of the internship. Please note that, due to the requirements applicable to our internship program, enrollment at a university in Germany is preferred.

Relocation support and reimbursement of relocation costs are not available for this internship. Candidates are therefore responsible for arranging and financing any necessary relocation themselves.
