The IAM Products & Solutions team is part of the Corporate Functions Tower within Munich Re Group Technology. We deliver Identity & Access Management (IAM) products and services that enable secure access, operational excellence, digital transformation, and innovation across Munich Re's global technology landscape.

As part of our AI and automation journey, we are looking for a technically strong and highly motivated intern who is passionate about Artificial Intelligence, Agentic AI, automation, and operational excellence. In this role, you will support our IAM Operations team by identifying automation opportunities, developing AI-powered solutions and business agents, and optimizing service request, incident, and service delivery processes across a global enterprise environment.

Your Job

  • Analyze IAM operational processes, service requests, incidents, and recurring support activities to identify automation and optimization opportunities.
  • Design and develop AI-powered solutions, business agents, and automation use cases.
  • Develop Python-based prototypes and productivity solutions.
  • Develop and enhance Angular-based user interfaces for AI and operational use cases.
  • Build and integrate REST APIs and system interfaces.
  • Support the adoption of Microsoft Copilot, AI agents, and automation capabilities.
  • Create dashboards, reports, and operational insights.
  • Collaborate with IAM SMEs, engineers, architects, and business stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase service quality, efficiency, and productivity.

Your Profile

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Informatics, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and hands-on experience with Angular frontend development (mandatory).
  • Experience with REST APIs, Git/GitHub, system integrations, and modern web technologies, including TypeScript.
  • Good understanding of databases and SQL.
  • Experience with GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development tools is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, Prompt Engineering, and RAG concepts.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Power BI, or similar productivity and automation platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud-based technologies.
  • Strong interest in AI, automation, process optimization, operational excellence, and digital transformation.
  • Ability to translate business challenges into technology-driven solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM) concepts is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus.

Students from countries outside the EU require a German residence-/work permit. The first master's degree may not have been completed before/during the entire internship.
