Kuehne+Nagel is one of the world's leading logistics providers, moving goods across global supply chains every day. We are looking for a motivated and curious Operational Excellence Intern to join our Global Road Logistics team in Hamburg.

This is not a typical internship. You will work on real business challenges, explore emerging technologies, and help drive digital transformation initiatives across our global road logistics network. From AI-powered automation and data analytics to process optimization and system integration, you will have the opportunity to contribute to projects that create measurable business impact. How you create impact

• Support the standardization and optimization of operational and administrative processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects in collaboration with local, regional, and global teams.
• Research, test, evaluate and implement AI solutions, including Generative AI, Microsoft Power Platform (i.e., Power Automate, Power Apps, and Copilot) to automate business processes and enhance business performance.
• Work with JSON data for parsing, validation, and transformation.
• Support API and system integrations using REST, EDI, and related technologies.
• Analyze operational data and translate insights into actionable improvements.

What we would like you to bring

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, IT, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong interest in operational excellence, process improvement, digitalization, and AI.
• Experience with AI tools and automation platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar technologies) is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Python, JavaScript, Java, or similar programming languages is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different countries and cultures.
• Fluency in English; German and/or French is a plus.
• Self-driven, curious, and eager to learn in a fast-paced international environment.
• Availability to work for at least six months, with a start date in October or November, and the ability to work from our Hamburg office in accordance with our office attendance policy.
