Role Overview

We are looking for a Community Manager Intern to help build GamingCenter’s early community across Discord, Reddit, and gaming-focused social spaces.

This role is ideal for someone who understands gaming culture, follows online communities, and wants hands-on startup experience in community management, creator growth, and esports/community engagement.

Responsibilities

You will support:

• Building and managing the GamingCenter Discord community
• Creating channels, roles, rules, onboarding flows, and engagement systems
• Moderating discussions and supporting a positive community culture
• Researching relevant Reddit communities and gaming discussions
• Supporting Reddit posting, engagement, and community discovery
• Identifying creators, streamers, esports players, coaches, and community leaders
• Helping organize online events, polls, AMAs, and tournament ideas
• Preparing weekly community growth and feedback reports

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Understands gaming culture and online communities
• Is familiar with Discord and Reddit
• Has interest in gaming, esports, streaming, Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, and creator economy
• Communicates clearly and professionally
• Can work independently in a remote startup environment
• Is proactive, organized, curious, and reliable
• Can write simple and engaging community posts in English

Bonus: Turkish, German, or another European language; Discord moderation, Reddit, streaming, esports, or community admin experience.

Internship Structure

GamingCenter offers two internship options:

3-month voluntary internship

Suitable for candidates looking for short-term startup experience in gaming/community management.

6-month mandatory internship

Suitable for students whose university or school requires a mandatory internship. Official documentation is required.

Growth Opportunity

Successful interns may be considered for future opportunities at GamingCenter.

Depending on performance, company growth, and the opening of GamingCenter’s Berlin office, high-performing interns may have the opportunity to continue as a Working Student or transition into a full-time on-site role in Berlin.

Future opportunities are not guaranteed and depend on performance, business needs, legal eligibility, and available positions.
