About Buena

Buena is building the technology that real estate runs on. We're making every part of real estate - from finding and financing to buying and managing - as seamless and transparent as possible. We do this by acquiring property managers across Germany and rebuilding them as technology companies. In under two years and with fewer than 25 people at HQ, we've already become Germany's second-largest property manager. The next trillion dollar company in real estate won't sell software. It will run the industry.

About The Role

We're hiring an Headhunting Intern to build our ultimate M&A unfair advantage. When we acquire traditional property management companies across Germany, our success hinges on immediately replacing traditional legacy management with tech-driven leadership. Your job is to find, track, and engage the future Managing Directors who will run these businesses.

Instead of reactively filling vacancies, you will proactively build, map, and nurture Germany-wide talent pools of top-tier executives. By keeping these high-profile candidates engaged, you ensure that the day an acquisition closes, the perfect leader is ready to step in. You’ll work directly with our leadership and M&A teams in our Berlin office, turning talent acquisition into a core driver of our company strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Executive Sourcing & Headhunting: 80% of your time is spent identifying and directly approaching seasoned leaders, senior managers, and potential Managing Directors across Germany via LinkedIn, Xing, and direct outreach.
  • Building Germany-Wide Talent Pools: You will strategically map the German market and build structured, long-term talent pools for future leadership roles in every major region.
  • Building a Competitive Advantage: You align your talent pipelines directly with our M&A pipeline so we can deploy new C-level executives into target companies immediately post-acquisition.
  • High-Level Engagement: You'll pitch Buena’s vision to senior-level candidates, opening the door for strategic interviews with our executive team.

You may be a good fit if you

  • Are currently enrolled as a student in a German university or available for a full-time internship of at least 6 months.
  • You speak native German (critical when talking to and building long-term relationships with established German business leaders).
  • You possess high emotional intelligence and the professional confidence required to engage, pitch, and maintain relationships with senior executives.
  • Are highly structured and obsessive about mapping markets and building clean, confidential talent data pipelines.
  • You have tech affinity. You leverage modern tools, AI sourcing, and advanced CRM/ATS systems to track and engage talent pools without hand-holding.
  • You're based in Berlin and ready to work from our office in Prenzlauer Berg.
  • Strong signal: First experience in executive search (Executive Search Boutique), high-end recruiting, CRM marketing, or outbound sales where you had to confidently manage long-term relationships with senior decision-makers.

Your Benefits

  • €110/month lunch budget, €50 fitness subsidy.
  • €1,200 yearly education budget.
  • Free books: Buena pays for any book you'd like to read.
  • A real seat in a high-growth company, you'll see from the inside how talent acquisition directly drives a multi-million euro M&A strategy.

Why you should apply now

  • We're high-growth with a small, tight-knit team: Within the past 3 years we have become Germany's second-largest property manager with around 20 full-time employees.
  • We're meritocratic: Your impact gets rewarded, quickly. Our CEO has been a Junior Product Manager 3 years ago, our COO has been Chief of Staff 2 years ago.
  • We're personal: We work from our office in Prenzlauer Berg and place high value on knowing each other well.
  • We care about outcomes: Homeownership rates in Germany are far below European average. We're here to enable wealth creation for everyone.
