As a Pathways Leadership Intern, you'll dive deep into strategic projects that directly impact productivity, customer experience, and organizational growth.

The Pathways Leadership Internship is a 10-12 week full-time opportunity in our operations network for students enrolled in an MBA or Master of Science program and with 3 to 10 years of experience in a complex role. It can start in June, July or September.

Through your own project, you will tackle a business-critical challenge and gain practical leadership experience. Your internship will conclude by presenting an innovative solution to senior management.

The goal of this internship is to offer successful participants a full-time position in the Pathways program starting in 2028.

About The Pathways Program

Pathways is a three-year program designed to rapidly develop experienced professionals into Amazon's next Senior Operations Managers. In this time your scope grows from leading approx. 100 up to 800 employees and managers. Members are highly visible to senior leadership through exclusive mentoring. They can change roles, sites, and geographies. Through intense and challenging opportunities in our operations network, we will expand your leadership capacity. The lessons you learn and the credibility you gain will set you up for accelerated career growth and future executive leadership opportunities at Amazon.

A day in the life

This role is based in one of our warehouses in Germany. We are currently offering Gattendorf, Hoppegarten, Witten and Garbsen. Locations are subject to change.

Our Pathways internship requires a minimum 10-week commitment between June and October. If you cannot obtain your visa/work permit at least one week before your start date, we may have to cancel your internship for that cycle. However, we will try to offer you another internship opportunity or even a permanent Amazon job in 2026, subject to availability.

Basic Qualifications

• Very good command of German (CEFR B2) and English at the time of application
• Currently enrolled in a Master of Business Administration (MBA)/Master of Science (MSc) Engineering/PhD/Master of Engineering (MEng) program
• Available for 10–12 weeks in summer or fall of 2027 to work full time.
• 3+ years of complex professional experience (excluding internships and work studies) with responsibility for project management and delivery
• Flexible to work in non-traditional shift patterns, which may include nights and weekends
• Open to relocate within the country you have applied to work within

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience directly managing teams
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen techniques
• Experience developing and implementing KPI goals and strategies based on broader organization goals
• Demonstrable decision-making skills, enabling you to use sound reasoning as and when required
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Professional experience in engineering, management, logistics, manufacturing, science or any other STEM field
