Join us now as an Intern in European Private Credit in Munich within the Global Investment Platform function. In this role, you will support the European Private Credit Asset Management team in identifying, monitoring and managing risks within Private Debt investments.

About The Job

European Private Credit is a prominent AllianzGI Private Markets strategy, managing nearly €7.5 billion in assets across multiple sectors and focusing on companies based in Germany, France, Austria and the Netherlands. The Munich-based Asset Management team is responsible for identifying and overseeing portfolio company risks and consists of a Director and two Vice Presidents. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Private Debt asset management, portfolio monitoring, sustainability data collection, internal rating analysis and client reporting.

What You Do

  • Monitor existing portfolio investments and support the identification and management of risks within Private Debt investments
  • Collect, analyse and deliver sustainability-related data for the portfolio
  • Perform internal rating analyses and financial ratio structuring
  • Contribute creative ideas to further develop and improve asset management tools
  • Support client reporting and prepare presentations for internal and external clients
  • Participate in projects for internal and external clients.

What You Bring

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s programme in finance, economics, mathematics or a related field, with excellent academic results
  • First experience in the loan business, ideally gained in the banking or financial sector
  • Intellectual curiosity, willingness to learn and a proactive working style
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with positive and creative thinking
  • Strong team player with a collaborative attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal German skills are required, together with a very good command of English
  • Ability to use Microsoft Copilot, with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices.

Wichtiges für Werkstudierende

Was dieses Praktikum im Bereich Finance in Munich für dich bedeutet: die Vergütungsregeln, die Sozialabgaben und worauf internationale Studierende achten sollten.

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Werkstudenten-Regeln

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Versicherung prüfen

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
