Summary of the Role

This internship/training opportunity is designed for students or entry-level professionals seeking hands-on experience in product development and mechanical engineering. The role provides on-the-job training and exposure to mechanical design, prototype development, testing, and cross-functional collaboration, enabling participants to develop practical engineering skills in a dynamic industrial environment.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Support the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Create and update 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and bills of materials.
  • Assist with prototype assembly, product testing, and validation activities.
  • Prepare test setups and document test procedures and results.
  • Analyze measurement and test data and summarize findings.
  • Maintain product-related technical documentation.
  • Support engineering changes and product improvement activities.
  • Coordinate technical tasks with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and other departments.
  • Participate in project meetings and present results when required.
  • Perform other product development tasks as assigned.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics standards and support their implementation within the organization.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Product Development, or a related technical field.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical design, product development, and manufacturing principles.
  • Previous internship experience, technical project work, or hands-on engineering experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks, is an advantage.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Basic experience with prototype assembly, product testing, validation activities, or measurement equipment is beneficial.
  • Basic knowledge of data analysis and visualization.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Good written and spoken English skills; German language skills are an advantage.
  • Independent, structured, and hands-on working style with the ability to manage assigned tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within an international team environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proactive attitude, curiosity, and a strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
