Energy Transition and Digitalization are two of the biggest megatrends of the decades to come. Munich Re’s New and Green Tech team combines the development of innovative insurance solutions with enabling new business models in the areas of renewable energy, AI and blockchain-based digital assets. The team has offices around the globe, with its headquarters in Munich. As a business enabler, the unit not only provides tailored solutions to shoulder the risks associated with new and green technologies, but also helps scale successful business models. At the same time, it continuously identifies emerging technologies and trends, anticipates the associated risks and develops innovative solutions accordingly.

Your Job

  • Drive business development activities by supporting strategic growth initiatives in emerging technology and energy transition markets.
  • Create compelling presentations, pitch decks and management materials for clients, partners and senior stakeholders.
  • Analyze markets, competitors and technology trends to identify new business opportunities and support go-to-market activities.
  • Apply AI-powered tools and digital solutions to streamline research, content creation and business processes.

Your Profile

  • Current master's student with a strong academic record in Business, Economics, Engineering or a related field
  • First experience in strategy, business development, consulting, start-ups or corporate innovation
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex topics into clear and compelling business stories
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills with a talent for creating high-quality presentations for management and clients
  • Hands-on experience with AI applications and digital productivity tools, as well as excellent written and spoken English

Students from countries outside the EU require a German residence-/work permit. The first master's degree may not have been completed before/during the entire internship.

Was dieses Praktikum im Bereich Vertrieb in Munich für dich bedeutet: die Vergütungsregeln, die Sozialabgaben und worauf internationale Studierende achten sollten.

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Werkstudenten-Regeln

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Versicherung prüfen

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
