• Framework Proficiency: Gain proficiency with Infineon’s code generation framework, understanding its structure and workflows for adapting hardware component creation
• Asynchronous Circuits: Build expertise in asynchronous components, exploring various architecture variants and their integration in embedded systems
• Generator Design: Design and implement adaptations to an asynchronous circuit generator that support synchronizing existing components
• FPGA Realization: Realize the synchronized asynchronous design on synchronous FPGAs
• Validation: Measure and benchmark timing and area utilization, ensuring generated components are functionally equivalent to existing solutions through thorough validation
  
  

Your Profile

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

• Study Field: Enrolled in a master program in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems or a related field
• Circuit Knowledge: Background knowledge on Digital Circuits, based on design, modeling, synthesis and simulation with Verilog and VHDL
• Programming Skills: High degree of proficiency with programming tools, especially Python, Linux, and Git
• Previous Experience: Experience with Model-Driven Engineering is a plus, particularly metamodeling and code generation
• Personality: Curiosity and openness as well as an interest in learning and trying out new things. Self-driven and critical thinker
• Way of working: Ability to address challenges from a practical point of view and critical thinking
• Language skills: Professional level of written and spoken English

Important information:

• Working part-time: The focus is on studies. That’s why working as a student employee during lecture period is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
• Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome: To work as a student employee with us, you must be enrolled at a university and not have completed all of your exams or modules for your degree programme. You must not be in a semester of leave. We look forward to welcoming you to our team for at least 6 months.
• You should live close to the site: For good collaboration, it is important to us that you can come to the office regularly to integrate to the team.
