Who we are

We’ve been helping clients plan and invest for their futures for over 50 years. From more than 25 locations around the world, we provide investment services and retirement expertise to everyone from central banks to private individuals. We’re known for acting with integrity and thinking for the long-term. And across our organisation, we foster a welcoming, caring and inclusive culture where people feel respected, trusted and able to be themselves.

About your team

The real estate division of Fidelity International was founded in 2006 and launched its first funds for institutional investors in 2008, since when it has attracted a range of blue-chip clients from continental Europe, the UK, Canada and Asia. Current real estate AuM is in the region of c. USD 3 billion. The experienced team of fund managers, asset managers, transaction managers, research professionals, analysts and operations professionals are based in five locations across Europe (London, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, and Luxembourg). The team has established strong performance track records and we are building on this success by both growing our existing flagship funds, and further developing the business through new funds, including funds focused on climate impact investing.

We are committed to sustainable investing and have firmly embedded sustainability in all steps of our investment process, from the time of acquisition, throughout the holding period and until disposition. We have set a range of sustainability targets and proactively engage with our tenants and suppliers to drive improvements.

About your role

The team has invested in various sectors ranging from offices, logistics, light industrial, life science, retail to residential across Europe, with a focus on Germany, France, The Netherlands, Luxembourg and UK.

Reporting directly to a Senior Asset Manager within the German Asset Management team, you will be working as a fully integrated team member primarily supporting the management of our German portfolio. Based in the Kronberg office alongside the Head of European Asset Management, who has primary responsibility for real estate asset management across all Europe, and the Head of Transactions, you will have the chance to gain exposure to both asset management and investment activities.

We can offer you the following range of responsibilities:

  • Supporting the day-to-day asset management of commercial and residential real estate assets across Europe, including performance monitoring, leasing activities, business planning, financial analysis and asset performance reporting.
  • Coordinating with property managers, leasing agents, valuers and other external advisors on asset initiatives and value creation projects.
  • Project tracking and standardization of the Asset Management Platform across Europe including the use of digital tools and AI.
  • Monitoring and supporting European BREEAM certifications and EPC renewals.
  • Assisting with ESG checklists and data collection, prioritization of measures and property strategy.
  • Supporting internal communication by compiling and sharing updates on leasing, ESG initiatives, and ESG ratings like GRESB within the Asset Management team.
  • Assistance with the development of a scalable platform for residential property management throughout Europe.

The work requires a generalist mindset with high flexibility, as well as a close cooperation with the team. The work on the special projects will have a clearly defined scope and purpose.

How you’ll be supported

We don’t expect you to come straight in and know everything about what we do. As a working student, and whatever you’ve studied, we’ll help make sure you get the most out of your time with us.

You’ll start with a mini induction during which we’ll introduce you to asset management industry and our business. You will gain exposure to all aspects of institutional real estate asset management, working on assets across multiple german markets and sectors while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

After that, there are many more ways to develop your skills as you progress through the programme. Social and networking events will help you get to know our people and culture. All the while you’ll be learning on the job, working to clear goals and understanding your own potential.

The difference you’ll make:

As your skills and confidence grow, you will gain hands-on exposure to a broad range of real estate asset management activities, working alongside experienced professionals across multiple property sectors and markets. You will contribute to strategic, operational and sustainability-related initiatives, support leasing and business plan execution, and develop a practical understanding of how institutional real estate investments are managed throughout the asset lifecycle.

About you

It’s who you are that matters here, rather than what you studied. We look for working students (start date January 2027) who are motivated, analytical and proactive, enjoy working in teams and are eager to take ownership and learn in a dynamic environment.

A genuine curiosity about real estate investment, asset management and property markets is vital, combined with strong analytical thinking and an interest in understanding the drivers of asset performance and value creation. And, as we’re an international organisation, we’ll need you to speak German and English.

Our clients come from all walks of life and so do we. We are proud of our inclusive culture and encourage applications from the widest mix of talent, whatever your age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, social background and more.
