Job description
Braun Management helps leadership teams across different sectors address the structural friction that prevents work from moving forward. We are looking for a WordPress Developer Intern to manage the technical foundation of our digital presence and ensure that our analytical work is presented clearly to the organizations we advise.
The role
This is a full time, permanent internship position focused on the technical upkeep and expansion of our website and internal digital tools. We need someone who understands the functional side of WordPress, from theme customization to plugin management. You will be the person responsible for making sure our site remains stable and efficient as we add new content and features. This role is entirely remote, meaning you will need to be comfortable managing your tasks and communicating your progress through regular written updates to the team.
About Braun Management
We are a firm that helps organizations resolve the problems they cannot fix from within. Our clients are often dealing with complex transitions, such as scaling a business beyond its original model or entering new markets with insufficient preparation. We avoid typical consulting language because we believe that clarity is more useful than corporate buzzwords. Our work involves identifying uncomfortable truths about why work gets stuck and then defining the structural changes needed to fix it. We operate as a fully remote team, relying on precise analysis and clear documentation to support our clients through difficult organizational shifts.
In this role
In a typical week, you will be responsible for a variety of technical tasks that keep our web properties running. This includes performing regular updates to the WordPress core and active plugins, ensuring there are no compatibility issues or security vulnerabilities. You will also work on minor front end improvements, such as adjusting CSS for better readability or mobile responsiveness. Sometimes, you will be asked to create custom page templates to host specific reports or data sets. We do not expect you to be a designer, but we do expect you to understand how to translate a content requirement into a logical, functional web page.
What you bring
People who succeed at Braun Management are those who take pride in the quality of their technical work rather than looking for constant recognition. We value a dry, matter of fact approach to problem solving. If you enjoy digging into a technical issue until you find the exact cause of a bug, you will fit in well here. We communicate primarily through writing, so you should be someone who can explain technical concepts clearly without using unnecessary jargon. Since we are a remote company, we look for individuals who are reliable and do not need a manager to check in on them multiple times a day.
