Job description

Our Team

Since the 2026 season, Audi has been competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship.

The new team has three locations. The Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Formula 1 factory of Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Audi Motorsport Technology Center in UK is in its launch phase and growing continuously. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations.

What you need? The mindset of an athlete. If you are someone for whom giving up isn’t an option and limits are just something to be overcome, you can bring Vorsprung durch Technik to Formula 1 with us. Become part of this unique project and make motorsport history.

Our internships as well as thesis projects last at least four months, are full-time, and we offer fair compensation.

This position is scheduled to start from October 2026. To apply, we require a current CV, relevant certificates, a certificate of enrollment, and, if applicable, your university’s examination regulations as well as an up-to-date, official transcript of records. You are also welcome to tell us more about yourself in a motivation letter.

Important Information

Applicants from the EU require a valid ID card or passport; applicants from non-EU countries require a residence permit and, if applicable, a work permit.

Please note that all theses are subject to a confidentiality clause, and an additional non-disclosure agreement with the university supervisor may be required.

This position is to be filled at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg (Germany).

  • Identify ways to streamline the administration associated with compiling KPIs.
  • Support the development of data analytics tools to automate data collation and reporting.
  • Attend COO led improvement initiative meetings to capture and distribute actions.
  • Investigate anomalies in the data ‘outliers’ and propose corrective actions where required.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks to support the team and COO with other operational improvements.

Your Profile

  • You are currently enrolled as a student in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable degree program, ideally with a technical focus
  • You are a confident user of MS Office applications, ideally with advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with Power BI and SAP is an advantage
  • You have a structured and analytical mindset
  • Strong execution skills as well as a high level of motivation and initiative are among your strengths
  • You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the opportunity to interact directly with the COO
  • You are able to work both independently and effectively as part of a small team
  • Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken, completes your profile
